More than 200 households have been displaced in Zogirma village, Kebbi State, following a devastating flood triggered by torrential rainfall.

The disaster has left residents homeless, destroyed farmlands, and wiped out vital food supplies.

Locals described the flood as one of the worst in the community’s history. Entire buildings were submerged, forcing families to flee with only the clothes on their backs.

Eyewitnesses recounted scenes of chaos and panic as rising waters swept through homes, destroying property and livelihoods.

As of the time of reporting, authorities had yet to release an official statement. However, affected residents are urgently calling for shelter, relief materials, and government intervention.

The flood has also heightened fears of food insecurity, as crops and grain reserves were completely washed away.

Emergency response teams are currently assessing the damage and working to mobilize aid for displaced victims.
