The Supreme Court has upheld the election of Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the duly elected Governor of Edo State, affirming the earlier decision of the Court of Appeal in Abuja.
A five-member panel of the apex court, led by Justice Mohammed Garba Lawal, ruled that the appellants failed to substantiate their allegations of electoral non-compliance, unlawful votes, and claims that Okpebholo was not duly elected.
Consequently, the court dismissed the appeal for lacking merit.
