Lionel Messi continued his stunning form, scoring both goals to lead Inter Miami to a 2-1 win over the New England Revolution on Wednesday night in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
Messi struck in the 27th and 38th minutes, giving Miami a strong first-half lead. Although New England pulled one back late in the game, it wasn’t enough to deny Miami their second consecutive win.
With the victory, Inter Miami climbed to fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings.
Messi also made league history by becoming the first player to score multiple goals in four consecutive MLS matches.
