Nollywood actress and entrepreneur, Iyabo Ojo, narrowly escaped tragedy on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, when a fire broke out at her Lagos office around 7:00 PM.
The incident, which caused significant damage to the building, fortunately claimed no lives.
Ojo, in an emotional Instagram post, shared a video of the aftermath, thanking the Lagos State Fire Service and her staff for their swift response in containing the blaze.
“This just happened today… My office building caught fire,” she said. “Thankfully, no lives were lost. The devil tested us today, but God said no.”
While the cause of the fire is still under investigation, officials suspect electrical faults, a common cause in such cases.
Despite the setback, Ojo reassured fans of her resilience: “With God on my side, we will bounce back bigger and better.”
The incident highlights the vulnerability of businesses to fire outbreaks, even those owned by high-profile personalities.
