Two people were killed and nine others injured in a road accident involving a truck, a bus, and a tricycle at Tipper Garage on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

Mr. Adekunle Ajibade, South-West Area Commander of the Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), confirmed the incident, which occurred around 7:40 p.m. on Monday.

The crash involved a Daf truck (JJJ 144 XD), a Mazda bus (EPE 394 XP), and a tricycle (DGB 599 VC).

Ajibade said the parked truck, left running on a slope with the handbrake engaged, rolled back onto the expressway after the brake disengaged, leading to the collision.

The two deceased and nine injured victims were taken to Ifo General Hospital, Ogun State. TRACE and FRSC officers cleared the scene and restored traffic flow.

Ajibade urged motorists to maintain safe speeds and comply with traffic regulations.
