The Oyo State Government has issued a final warning to traders at Ogunpa Central International Market, Ibadan, to stop displaying goods on the roadside, setting July 21, 2025, as the date for strict enforcement.

Chairman of the Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority, Major Adekoya Adesagba (retd.), led a sensitisation campaign at the market, describing roadside trading as a traffic hazard and safety threat.

He urged traders to maintain proper setbacks and warned that enforcement would target illegal parking, obstruction, and street trading.

In response, the President-General of the market association, Prince Gbenga Atitebi, and the Iyaloja of Ibadan Southwest, High Chief Kudirat Aloba, pledged their support for the directive and appealed for government assistance in enforcing compliance.
