The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), has approved Enugu Air to begin domestic flight operations, following the airline’s compliance with all regulatory requirements.
NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs, Michael Achimugu, confirmed the approval in a statement released Tuesday.
The clearance comes days after the Enugu State Government formally unveiled the state-backed airline.
To kick off operations, Enugu Air has partnered with XEJET, leveraging its EMB 170 aircraft under XEJET’s existing license while pursuing its own Air Operator Certificate (AOC).
Ticketing and bookings will be available via XEJET’s online platforms. NCAA reiterated its commitment to promoting indigenous airlines and passenger safety in Nigeria’s aviation sector.
