Chelsea forward Joao Felix has expressed a strong desire to return to his boyhood club, Benfica.
The 25-year-old Portuguese star, who joined Chelsea permanently after a loan spell, struggled to make an impact and spent the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan at AC Milan.
He was recently left out of Chelsea’s squad for the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup in the U.S.
“Benfica is my favourite team; it’s my home,” Felix said. “One day I’ll return. I don’t know if it’s now or in a few years, but I’d be happy to go back.”
Despite his interest, a return may be complicated by his high wages and potential transfer fee.
