Super Falcons head coach, Justin Madugu, says the team remains focused despite their emphatic victory over Tunisia in a recent international friendly.
Speaking after the match, Madugu praised the players for their discipline and teamwork but cautioned against complacency, stressing that tougher challenges lie ahead, especially with upcoming qualifiers for the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON), and the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
“The players did well and followed instructions, but we won’t let this win make us complacent. We must keep improving,” he said.
Madugu highlighted the need to improve in finishing and defensive concentration while urging continued support from fans, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), and stakeholders.
The win serves as a morale boost for the Falcons, who remain unbeaten and among Africa’s top-ranked women’s teams as they prepare for future tournaments.
