Former Senate President David Mark has reaffirmed the African Democratic Congress (ADC)’s commitment to transparency, unity, and national rescue, declaring that the party is not for sale and has no preferred presidential aspirant.
Speaking during a meeting with ADC stakeholders from Kogi State in Abuja on Tuesday, Mark stressed the need for urgent action to save Nigeria.
“We do not want this great ship called Nigeria to sink. If we don’t rise now, we’ll all be affected,” he warned.
He called for unity within the party, urging members to put aside personal interests and work together to build a credible alternative.
“I don’t own this party more than any member. Nigerians must take ownership of the ADC,” he said.
Mark emphasized that the ADC is focused on tackling national challenges like insecurity and is ready to provide responsible leadership if given the opportunity.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Sheriff, head of the ADC’s national legal support group, raised concerns about lawsuits filed by individuals allegedly impersonating party members in Kogi and Nasarawa States.
He revealed that 97 lawyers have volunteered to defend the party’s interests in court.
