Vice President Kashim Shettima says the Tinubu administration is focused not only on delivering infrastructure but also on restoring public trust in governance.

Speaking Friday at the commissioning of the newly rehabilitated Aguma Palace-Radio Nigeria, New Market Road in Gwagwalada, FCT, Shettima, who represented President Bola Tinubu, said the era of unfulfilled promises is over.

“We’re not just constructing roads; we’re rebuilding faith in governance,” he declared. “No community is too remote to be seen, and no voice too pained to be unheard.”

Shettima described the road as a “corridor of dignity” for market women, schoolchildren, and traders.

He emphasized that the project was a response to grassroots demands, not a top-down directive.

“This is the democracy we champion, one that listens, responds, and delivers,” he added.

He highlighted ongoing reforms in the FCT aimed at expanding its revenue base and improving schools, hospitals, and infrastructure.

The Vice President also praised FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for his results-driven approach.

“He has shown that disruption can be a force for genuine progress,” Shettima said.
