The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, has approved the appointment of Justice Babatunde Adeniran Adejumo as the new Administrator of the National Judicial Institute (NJI).

Justice Adejumo, a former President of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, will officially assume office on August 1, 2025.

His appointment follows a recommendation by the NJI Board of Governors, chaired by the CJN, and reflects the Board’s confidence in Justice Adejumo’s extensive judicial experience and leadership qualities.

He succeeds Justice Salisu Garba Abdullahi, whose four-year tenure as NJI Administrator concludes on July 31, 2025.

Justice Kekere-Ekun commended the outgoing Administrator for his dedicated service and significant contributions to judicial education and institutional reforms within the Nigerian judiciary.
