Super Falcons forward, Omorinsola Babajide, is aiming to win her first senior title as she gears up for her debut at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), in Morocco.

The 27-year-old, formerly of UD Tenerife, said her goal is to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s quest for a record-extending 10th WAFCON title.

“My personal goal is to make my debut and contribute as much as I can; whether with goals or assists and to win my first senior silverware,” she told the Super Falcons media team.

Nigeria will open their WAFCON campaign against Tunisia on Sunday in Casablanca.

They also face Botswana and Algeria in Group B, with Coach Justine Madugu’s squad determined to reclaim the title they lost to South Africa in 2022.

Babajide expressed pride in representing the national team, saying, “It’s a very honourable feeling. I’m privileged to be here. Whenever I wear the badge, I feel honour and pride.”

With high expectations and a strong desire to leave her mark, Babajide is poised to be a key figure in the Super Falcons’ push for continental glory.
