Former U.S. President Donald Trump has announced a ceasefire between Israel and Iran following days of deadly attacks that left at least 14 people dead.
The truce, confirmed early Tuesday, was reportedly brokered with Qatari mediation.
It came after Iran launched missiles into southern Israel, killing five, and Israel responded with airstrikes on Tehran and northern Iran, where nine fatalities were confirmed.
Israeli authorities said they accepted the ceasefire after achieving “tremendous military success,” claiming key Iranian military and nuclear sites were neutralized.
Flights in and out of Israel, briefly suspended during the missile attacks, have resumed.
Israeli officials warned that any breach of the ceasefire by Iran would trigger immediate retaliation.
