Former U.S. President Donald Trump has confirmed that the United States carried out coordinated airstrikes on three of Iran’s major nuclear facilities; Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan on Saturday night, June 21, in a dramatic escalation of tensions between the two nations.
In a statement posted on his social media page, Trump described the operation as a “very successful attack,” revealing that American aircraft dropped a full payload of bombs on the key nuclear site at Fordow before exiting Iranian airspace safely.
“We have completed our very successful attack on the three nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.
“All planes are now outside of Iran airspace… Congratulations to our great American warriors,” Trump wrote, adding, “NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE!”
According to U.S. defense officials, the operation was executed using B-2 Spirit stealth bombers equipped with GBU-57A/B Massive Ordnance Penetrators, 30,000-pound bunker-busting bombs engineered to destroy fortified underground facilities.
Fordow, deeply embedded in a mountain, was reportedly the primary target due to its high-level uranium enrichment activities and proliferation risks.
Military analysts note that the B-2 Spirit, among the most advanced aircraft in the U.S. arsenal, offers unmatched precision and stealth capabilities.
With a 40,000-pound payload and aerial refueling capacity, the B-2 can deliver both nuclear and conventional weapons undetected.
The strikes follow heightened tensions in the Middle East amid recent hostilities between Iran and Israel, raising concerns over broader regional instability.
