Rinsola Babajide Ecstatic Over First Super Falcons WAFCON Call-Up

Nigerian forward Rinsola Babajide has expressed overwhelming joy after earning her maiden call-up to the Super Falcons’ 24-player squad for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), in Morocco.

Babajide, who will be making her debut in a major senior tournament, shared her excitement on social media, calling it “the greatest honour” to represent Nigeria.

The Super Falcons will play warm-up matches against Portugal on June 23 in Lisbon and Ghana on June 29 in Morocco before facing Tunisia, Botswana, and Algeria in Group B.

Led by captain Rasheedat Ajibade and stars like Chiamaka Nnadozie, Asisat Oshoala, and Francisca Ordega, Nigeria is targeting a record-extending 10th continental title.

With a mix of experience and fresh talent, the team is determined to make a strong statement in Morocco.
