Super Eagles defender Ola Aina is set to extend his stay at Nottingham Forest with a new long-term deal, putting an end to growing interest from Premier League heavyweights Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool.
The 27-year-old is expected to sign a fresh two-year contract with an option of a third, following the club’s decision to activate the one-year extension clause in his current deal, securing his services at least until 2026.
Aina has played a pivotal role in Forest’s campaign, impressing both as a right-back and a left-back.
Known for his tenacity, pace, and attacking versatility, the Nigerian international has become a fan favorite at the City Ground.
Despite tempting offers from bigger clubs, Aina is said to be satisfied with Nottingham Forest’s project and ambitions.
Talks between his representatives and the club have reached an advanced stage, with both sides eager to continue the relationship.
The impending extension is a major boost for Nottingham Forest as they look to consolidate their Premier League status and build for the future.
