The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has arrested three suspected kidnappers and an arms supplier linked to several abductions and killings in Abuja and surrounding states.
FCT Commissioner of Police, Ajoa Saka Adewale, revealed this while briefing newsmen, stating that the suspects were apprehended by the command’s Scorpion Squad led by ACP Victor O. Godfrey.
He said the arrests followed coordinated operations based on credible digital intelligence, which led the police to track the suspects across Kaduna, Niger, and Nasarawa states.
The arrested suspects were identified as Ya’u Shittu from Kafanchan in Kaduna State, Saleh Usman from Niger State, and Ibrahim Abdullahi, a resident of Mpape in Abuja.
According to the police, the suspects had been on the command’s wanted list and are members of a notorious kidnapping syndicate responsible for multiple violent crimes within the FCT and its environs.
