Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu is close to sealing a permanent transfer to Turkish club Trabzonspor after an impressive loan spell last season, where he scored 15 goals in 21 league matches.
Trabzonspor has reportedly offered €5 million for the 31-year-old, significantly less than the €18 million Southampton paid to sign him from Genk in January 2023.
Talks between the clubs are at an advanced stage, with Trabzonspor president Ertuğrul Doğan confirming ongoing negotiations.
Onuachu is expected to sign a three-year deal, having already agreed to personal terms.
Currently in Nigeria, he awaits clearance to travel to Turkey for medicals.
The transfer is expected to be completed soon, pending final paperwork.
