The Ihima residence of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in Kogi State came under attack Tuesday night in a renewed wave of violence against the embattled Kogi Central lawmaker.

According to her media team, armed assailants shattered windows before being repelled by police, vigilantes, and youth volunteers.

One suspect, identified as Suberu Jose, a self-confessed ritualist linked to previous attacks, was arrested at the scene with a cutlass and fetish items.

The Kogi State Police Command confirmed the arrest, adding that others involved are still at large.

Jose admitted to participating in two earlier attacks on the senator’s home.

This latest incident follows a similar attack in April and comes amid rising political tension surrounding Akpoti-Uduaghan, who is facing federal criminal charges after accusing Senate President Godswill Akpabio of sexual misconduct; a move that led to her six-month suspension from the Senate.

Her media office condemned the attack and urged calm, calling for justice and an end to political intimidation.
