Following violent attacks in parts of Benue State, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has evacuated corps members from crisis-hit areas to safer locations in Makurdi.
State Coordinator, Mrs. Veronica Garba, confirmed that corps members from Yelewata and Daudu were moved into family houses, including facilities run by NYSC religious fellowships.
She assured parents of their children’s safety, noting that no corps member was missing.
The relocation was carried out in collaboration with the police.
Garba also expressed confidence in improved security following President Tinubu’s directive and the deployment of top security chiefs to the state.
