Indian authorities have arrested another Nigerian national, identified as Chikuwuma, for drug trafficking in Bengaluru, just a week after a similar arrest involving Nigerian hairstylist Ifeoluwa Akinwunmi.
Chikuwuma was apprehended by Bengaluru’s Central Crime Branch during a raid in the Avalahalli area while attempting to distribute narcotics valued at Rs 1.2 crore (₦214 million). The seized drugs included MDMA and crystal substances.
Police say the suspect has been involved in drug trafficking since 2013 and is believed to be part of an international syndicate. He had reportedly been under surveillance for weeks prior to his arrest.
Authorities confirmed that investigations are ongoing to identify other members of the network. Chikuwuma remains in custody for further interrogation.
