The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has launched a new media campaign tagged Mission X to rally nationwide and global support for the Super Falcons as they chase a record-extending 10th Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON), title in Morocco.

With nine continental titles to their name, the Super Falcons remain Africa’s most successful women’s national football team.

The NFF says the Mission X campaign is a strategic push to boost morale and unify supporters around the team’s bid for another historic triumph.

NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, reaffirmed the federation’s full commitment to the Falcons’ success.

“We are committed to fully supporting the Super Falcons’ campaign for a 10th continental title,” he said.

The campaign is aimed at mobilizing football fans across Nigeria and the diaspora, urging them to throw their weight behind the team as they face Africa’s finest in the upcoming tournament.

Since the inception of the women’s AFCON in 1998, the Super Falcons have dominated the competition, clinching the title nine times and establishing themselves as a continental powerhouse.

They have also flown the flag for Africa at several FIFA Women’s World Cup editions, including the inaugural tournament in 1991 and again in 1995.

Dr. Sanusi stressed the importance of fan support ahead of the tournament. “We want the Super Falcons to feel the energy of our football-passionate fans wherever they go,” he said.

The Mission X campaign will include fan engagement initiatives, media content, and promotional efforts to create a strong emotional connection between the team and their supporters as they prepare for glory in Morocco.
