The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has announced a three-day fasting and prayer programme to seek divine intervention in addressing challenges in Nigeria’s agricultural sector.
According to the ministry, the initiative aims to invoke God’s guidance in achieving food security and supporting national development.
All staff members are expected to participate in the fasting and attend scheduled prayer sessions during the programme.
The spiritual exercise is intended to unite ministry personnel in collective supplication, with the belief that divine guidance can help overcome the country’s food production and sustainability challenges.
The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, tasked with ensuring food sufficiency and promoting agricultural development, says this move underscores its commitment to empowering farmers and securing Nigeria’s food future through both policy action and faith-based engagement.
