President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has cancelled the traditional June 12 Democracy Day national broadcast and will instead deliver his address at a joint session of the National Assembly.
The change, announced on Wednesday by the Director of Information in the Presidency, Segun Imohiosen, is due to the President’s scheduled appearance before lawmakers on Thursday.
Other Democracy Day activities remain unchanged.
