Kaduna-Based Influencer Dadiyata Confirmed Dead After Six Years Missing

After more than six years of mystery and speculation, Kaduna-based social media influencer Abubakar Idris, popularly known as Dadiyata, has been officially confirmed dead.

The confirmation follows an in-depth investigation led by prominent investigative commentator and social critic, Damilola Adekunle, bringing closure to one of Nigeria’s most haunting unresolved disappearances.

Dadiyata, known for his outspoken views on national issues and active engagement on social media, vanished under suspicious circumstances in 2019.

His case drew national and international attention, symbolizing the growing risks faced by vocal critics of government and policy.

His death marks a tragic end to years of hope and uncertainty for his family, friends, and supporters and rekindles urgent conversations about freedom of expression, safety, and justice in Nigeria.
