Former presidential candidate, Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, has welcomed his recent endorsement by youths from the North Central zone, describing it as a timely call to national duty.
He also hinted at a possible formal declaration for the 2027 presidential election before the end of the year.
In a statement shared on his social media platform on Monday, Hashim expressed gratitude to the youth coalition, saying their endorsement reflects a growing national demand for leadership that transcends regional interests and focuses on security, economic revival, and inclusive governance.
“I am grateful to the young people of the North Central zone who have endorsed me to contest the presidency in 2027 by the grace of God,” Hashim stated.
“I am delighted that they recognize the urgent need for a president who will not just fill a regional quota, but one who will secure all Nigerians, grow our economy, and make Nigeria livable for all who call it home.”
A former student leader, democracy activist, and successful entrepreneur, Dr. Hashim emphasized that the country’s current economic and security challenges demand bold, principled, and competent leadership.
