Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to Oba Abimbola Owoade I, the newly crowned Alaafin of Oyo, at the monarch’s palace in Oyo Town.

The visit, which was attended by other clerics, marked a symbolic engagement between religious and traditional institutions, fostering unity, cultural harmony, and mutual respect.

Oba Abimbola Owoade I was installed as the 46th Alaafin of Oyo on April 5, 2025, succeeding the late Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, who passed away on April 22, 2022, at the age of 83.

Pastor Adeboye was warmly received by the monarch, and moments from the visit were shared by Ajísebí Ọ̀yọ́ Radio on social media, accompanied by a caption in Yoruba.

The respected cleric has consistently emphasized the role of prayer in sustaining national peace and unity, often attributing Nigeria’s relative stability to persistent intercessory efforts by the church.
