President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for his efforts in transforming Abuja and urged him to ignore his critics, whom he described as “busybodies.”
Tinubu made the remarks on Tuesday during the commissioning of the newly renovated International Conference Centre (ICC), in Abuja, which has now been renamed the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre.
The President lauded the quality of the renovation, describing Wike as a visionary and transformational leader whose dedication and determination are evident in the outcomes of his work.
“Wike’s efforts reflect Nigerians as a people of quality, character, and strong will,” Tinubu said during a guided tour of the facility.
He urged the FCT Minister to remain focused and continue his developmental strides in the capital city, despite any distractions from critics.
