Nigeria Crushes Cameroon with 104-Run Victory

Nigeria’s Female Yellow Greens recorded a dominant 104-run triumph over Cameroon Women in their second match of the 2025 Kwibuka Women’s T20i tournament at Gahanga Cricket Stadium 2 in Rwanda.

Electing to bat after winning the toss, Nigeria posted an imposing total of 140 runs for four wickets in 20 overs.

Salome Sunday led the charge with an unbeaten 53 off 36 balls. She was supported by Esther Sandy with 23 runs and Kehinde Amusa who added 19.

In response, Cameroon faltered in their chase, managing only 36 runs for six wickets in nine overs.

Kehinde Amusa delivered a standout bowling performance, claiming two wickets for just four runs in her two overs.

Liliane Ude and Rukayat Abdulrasaq also impressed with a wicket each, keeping the pressure on the Cameroonian side.

The emphatic win strengthens Nigeria’s momentum in the competition. After five matches, the team sits fifth on the standings with four points and a net run rate of -0.160, remaining in close contention for a semi-final spot.
