The NSCDC Kano State Command under the leadership of Commandant Shafi’u Abdulmumini has completed all security arrangements covering Eid praying grounds, recreational and event centres, and markets during the Sallah celebrations in Kano.
The state commandant has approved the deployment of over three thousand one hundred operatives drawn from various departments, units, area commands, and divisional offices across the state, he said.
According to him, the deployed personnel have been tasked with ensuring watertight security before, during, and after the Eid el Kabir celebrations in the state.
As the lead agency in protecting and safeguarding critical national assets and infrastructure, special security consideration has been given to securing public utilities and most importantly protecting the lives and property of citizens, he added.
The command warned miscreants to desist and shun all forms of criminal acts during and after the festive period as the Corps is ready to deal decisively with criminals exhibiting recalcitrant behaviour in accordance with the law of the land.
