Galatasaray Vice President Niyazi Yelkencioğlu has revealed that Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is likely to depart the club this summer in pursuit of a lucrative offer.
Osimhen, one of the most in-demand players in the current transfer window, has been linked with top clubs including Manchester United, Chelsea, Al Hilal, Real Madrid, and NEOM FC.
Speaking on the situation, Yelkencioğlu emphasized that the final decision rests with the Nigerian international.
“First of all, it is his decision; we are waiting for it. If he leaves, it will be for financial reasons,” he said.
“We know his heart is here, but financial matters are very important. Some big figures are being discussed. We’ll see what happens, we’re waiting.”
Yelkencioğlu also expressed optimism about Galatasaray’s prospects, regardless of Osimhen’s decision.
“We have created a great atmosphere with excellent players. With a few reinforcements, this team can achieve even greater success. I believe our good form will continue both in Türkiye and in Europe,” he added.
