Former Super Eagles captain, Austine Jay-Jay Okocha, has advised Victor Osimhen to consider making his stay at Galatasaray permanent following a successful loan spell at the Turkish giants.
Osimhen, 26, joined Galatasaray on loan from Serie A side Napoli for the 2024/25 season and played a key role in the club’s domestic double triumph; winning both the Turkish Super Lig and the Turkish Cup.
The prolific striker finished the season as the league’s top scorer with 26 goals, attracting interest from several clubs across Europe.
Galatasaray are also eager to sign him permanently.
Okocha, who enjoyed a spell in Turkey with Fenerbahçe, believes the Nigerian forward should remain in Istanbul.
“Turkey is a great place to play and live football,” Okocha said. “Sometimes, you have to make sacrifices when making football decisions.
Osimhen had a great season at Galatasaray and he’s clearly happy there. Why shouldn’t he stay? I love Turkey, he loves it too.”
