The Federal Government has declared Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, 2025, as public holidays to mark this year’s Eid-ul-Adha celebration.
The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the announcement on Monday in a statement issued by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Magdalene Ajani.
He congratulated Muslims in Nigeria and across the world, urging them to reflect on the values of sacrifice, obedience, and faith as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him).
Tunji-Ojo called on Nigerians to use the period to pray for peace, unity, and national progress.
He assured that ongoing reforms under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda are designed to reposition the country for greatness.
The minister further appealed to citizens to support government efforts to restore Nigeria’s lost glory.
