Portuguese powerhouse Benfica have entered the race to land red-hot KRC Genk striker Tolu Arokodare, following his sensational season in Belgium.
The Nigerian forward lit up the Belgian Pro League in the 2024-25 campaign, finishing as the league’s top scorer with 21 goals.
His stellar form also earned him the coveted Ebony Shoe award, given to the best African player in Belgium.
According to Belgian outlet Voetbalkrant, Benfica have shown strong interest in securing the 24-year-old’s signature.
Arokodare, who joined Genk from French side Amiens SC in January 2023, is also on the radar of clubs in Germany, France, and England.
Genk are reportedly willing to cash in on the striker amid growing interest.
The former Cologne man is currently with the Nigerian national team on international duty.
