Nigeria’s sprint queen and world record holder in the 100m hurdles, Tobi Amusan, is set to return to the track this Sunday at the Rabat leg of the Wanda Diamond League in Morocco.
Amusan, who opened her 2025 Diamond League campaign in Xiamen with a fourth-place finish, is hoping to bounce back with a stronger performance in what will be her second appearance of the season.
She clocked 12.74 seconds in her season opener, trailing Jamaica’s Danielle Williams, USA’s Grace Stark, and South Africa’s Marione Fourie.
The 2022 world champion missed recent major outings including the World Athletics Relays in China due to Nigeria’s withdrawal, the Atlanta City Games despite being listed, and the Doha leg of the Diamond League where her event was not featured.
