Electra Motors is set to spark a new era of clean transportation in Nigeria with the launch of its Compressed Natural Gas Conversion Centre in Asaba, Delta State, on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

Located at the company’s flagship facility on Okpanam Road, the centre will serve as a major hub for converting petrol vehicles into cleaner and cheaper CNG-powered machines.

“This is more than a launch. It is a national call to cleaner energy and economic relief,” said Charles Omordia, Founder and Managing Director of Electra Motors.

The Asaba centre will handle conversions for tricycles, cars, and buses, offer technician training and certification, and run public awareness campaigns for drivers and transport unions.

The initiative aligns with the federal government’s Presidential CNG Initiative and aims to reduce emissions, lower fuel costs, and drive energy independence.

Government officials, transport leaders, and energy innovators will witness a live demo and facility tour during the launch. Special offers are also on the cards.

Electra Motors, founded in 2024, continues to lead Nigeria’s clean mobility push with electric vehicles, CNG services, and bold innovations, firmly positioning itself at the heart of Africa’s transport transformation.
