A mother in Abuja, Eunice Bright, is demanding justice and a DNA test after accusing a doctor of stealing one of her newborn twins during childbirth at Divine Reign Clinic in the Sauka area.
Eunice said multiple scans confirmed she was carrying twins, but after her cesarean section on June eleven, twenty twenty two, only one baby was presented to her. The clinic claimed the second child died.
Her suspicion grew months later when she spotted a baby strikingly identical to her son with the wife of the same doctor, Dr Timothy Zeje.
“He had the same dreadlocks. If not for their clothes, I would not know which was mine,” she said.
Desperate for answers, she began visiting the doctor’s home, observing the child and noting neglect. When she requested her hospital file, the clinic claimed it had been destroyed.
Eunice’s lawyer said police initially supported a DNA test, but instead charged her and her husband with false information and defamation.
“Why charge them before proving the truth with a test?” the lawyer questioned.
The case is now with the Force Criminal Investigation Department as the nation watches, waiting for one answer: where is Eunice’s other twin?
