The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has opened two new forensic laboratories in Abuja and Enugu, and upgraded its Lagos facility, after over 25 years of relying on a single lab.
Spokesman Femi Babafemi said the expansion follows a surge in drug seizures and aims to speed up case analysis and prosecution.
NDLEA Chairman, Brig.-Gen. Buba Marwa (retd.), said the new labs will boost the agency’s fight against drug abuse and trafficking.
