President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has begun a two-week-long commissioning tour of completed infrastructure projects across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), marking a major milestone in his administration’s commitment to inclusive development.

Announced by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike during a press briefing in Abuja on Monday, the inauguration spree is designed to showcase tangible impacts of governance under Tinubu’s leadership, especially in both the city centre and long-neglected satellite towns.

“We are about to flood the FCT with development. Not in a negative sense, but a positive one. Abuja residents will feel and see the dividends of democracy,” Wike declared.

The President will personally inaugurate several flagship projects, while other top government officials — including the Vice President, Senate President, and Speaker of the House of Representatives — will represent him at various locations across the territory.

According to Wike, the scale and spread of completed projects necessitate the extended two-week schedule, with efforts made to ensure that communities on the outskirts of the city are not left out.

“I have encouraged Mr. President to visit at least one satellite town to commission a project, so those residents feel carried along,” the Minister added.

The rollout signals a renewed focus on infrastructural equity in the FCT and aligns with Tinubu’s broader agenda to promote visible progress nationwide.
