Widespread power outages have hit several parts of Abuja, leaving residents in frustration as the blackout stretches into days without relief.

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company attributed the disruption to technical faults affecting major feeders, including the 33kV Bwari line.

Affected areas include Jabi, Lifecamp, Bwari, Karmo, Idu, and Ushafa, among others.

Despite assurances that the Transmission Company of Nigeria is working on repairs, residents are counting their losses from spoilt food, rising fuel expenses, and stalled businesses.

“It’s been over a week without power,” lamented a resident of Ushafa.

So far, AEDC has offered no clear timeline for full power restoration.
