In a shocking turn of events, an 18-year-old apprentice in Anambra State has reportedly impregnated ten girls within just five months, igniting a wave of concern and disbelief.

The young man, initially sent to learn a trade, faced dismissal after getting his master’s daughter and a salesgirl pregnant merely three months into his apprenticeship.

The state’s Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Ify Obinabo, revealed these alarming details during a live social media session.

She expressed her distress over the situation, stating that the issue escalated after the apprentice returned to his village and continued his troubling pattern, adding eight more victims to his list.

Obinabo shared a poignant account from the boy’s mother, who voiced her fears about her son’s actions. “Anytime I see a girl coming towards our house nowadays, my heart would jump,” she lamented, underscoring the urgent need for guidance and intervention.

With the situation spiraling out of control, Obinabo has turned to the public for advice, questioning whether there is a deeper, possibly spiritual, issue at play.

When asked how he managed to charm the girls, the apprentice claimed he simply expressed his love and promised marriage once he achieved financial stability.

As the community grapples with these developments, the call for solutions grows louder. What can be done to address this unusual and troubling phenomenon?
