Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to leave Liverpool after two decades, turning down a new contract and paving the way for a likely switch to Real Madrid.
The vice-captain confirmed his exit on Monday, saying he is ready for a fresh challenge after 349 appearances and seven major trophies with the Reds.
Despite Liverpool offering one of the most lucrative deals ever for a full back, negotiations broke down.
The 26-year-old is now expected to join the Spanish giants on a free transfer this summer.
