The Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College in Gwagwalada, Abuja has produced 50 newly trained officers following the completion of its Junior Course 21.

The intensive three-month programme, which targeted mid-level personnel across the Service, concluded with a colourful graduation ceremony at the College’s Ahmad Makarfi Hall on May 2, 2025.

Speaking on behalf of the Comptroller-General, Adewale Adeniyi, Deputy Comptroller-General Suleiman Chiroma, who heads the Training and Doctrine Command, urged the graduates to uphold the values of professionalism, integrity, and discipline.

“You are now equipped to take on higher responsibilities and contribute meaningfully to the Customs Service and our national objectives,” Chiroma said.

The College Commandant, Assistant Comptroller-General Oluyomi Adebakin, commended the graduates and reminded them that the Service places a premium on excellence and character.

“The Nigeria Customs Service has made a huge investment in your development. We expect a return in form of service delivery. Indiscipline will not be tolerated,” Adebakin declared.

The ceremony featured certificate presentations and the conferment of the Passed Junior Staff Course qualification. Graduates expressed gratitude, describing the training as transformative and empowering for leadership and field duties.

They are expected to be deployed across commands nationwide to strengthen operations and enhance service delivery.
