In a groundbreaking move, the National Assembly today welcomed top digital influencers to the first ever Speaker’s New Media Exchange 2025.
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, declared that Nigeria’s democracy must engage with online voices rather than silence them, insisting that inclusion is key to stronger governance.
He outlined the 10th House’s major reforms, including live streaming plenary sessions and pushing for greater representation of youth, women, and marginalized groups.
Influencers such as Dr Joe Abah, O’tega Ogra, and Olusegun Dada pledged to use their platforms to deepen civic participation.
Speaker Abbas urged that the digital conversation must not end with the event, saying the online generation is already shaping Nigeria’s future.
