The Federal Government has begun moves to clear outstanding wage award arrears for its workers, the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation has announced.
According to the statement, arrears covering five months will be paid in monthly instalments of N35,000, with the first instalment set to follow immediately after the April 2025 salary.
The OAGF noted that a previous five-month wage award had already been partly settled, reaffirming the government’s commitment to honoring its promises on workers’ welfare.
It said the payments aim to boost morale and efficiency across the public service sector.
