The Commandant of the Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service in Kwali Area Council, Usman Abubakar, has vowed that kidnappers will no longer find refuge in Abuja forests.
Abubakar revealed that constant deployment of hunters into identified hideouts has helped stem the wave of abductions across the council.
He said the service has been combing the hinterlands and thick forests, making it increasingly difficult for kidnappers to launch attacks on local communities.
Equipped with motorcycles and locally made firearms, the hunters have been carrying out relentless day and night patrols to deny criminals any chance of regrouping.
He recalled how his men successfully dislodged kidnappers from two known hideouts around nearby villages.
Abubakar added that the service maintains strong collaboration with other security agencies to sustain the onslaught against criminal elements.
