Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church has declared that Malam Nuhu Ribadu, the current National Security Adviser, will emerge as Nigeria’s next president after Bola Ahmed Tinubu completes his second term in 2031.
Speaking in an interview with the Daily Sun, Ayodele confidently stated, “The next person after Tinubu will be Nuhu Ribadu,” adding that a major political shift would see many Peoples Democratic Party governors abandoning their candidate to support Tinubu’s reelection in 2027.
He also forecasted that the All Progressives Congress would lose the Anambra governorship election, crediting the enduring popularity of Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
Issuing warnings to political heavyweights, Ayodele advised Senate President Godswill Akpabio to guard against looming scandals and urged former Lagos State governor Akinwunmi Ambode to stay prayerful if he hopes for a political comeback.
On national security, Ayodele raised an alarm over compromised defense agencies and claimed American submarines were operating in Nigerian waters, cautioning that their presence could pose hidden threats to national interests.
The cleric also advised Vice President Kashim Shettima to tread carefully to safeguard his position and warned of potential security threats against the wife of the Imo State governor.
Addressing the 2027 elections, Ayodele discouraged Nigerians from backing opposition figures like Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Nasir El Rufai, Bala Mohammed, and Seyi Makinde, insisting that such choices would deepen the nation’s struggles.
Despite acknowledging the challenges of Tinubu’s first term, Ayodele assured that Nigeria would witness a turnaround during the president’s second term, predicting a brighter and more stable future under his leadership.
