Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has made a passionate call for the Southeast to rally behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second term ambition ahead of the 2027 elections.
Speaking during a courtesy visit in Umuahia by the Tinubu Mandate Support Group, Abia State Chapter, and Club 17 Initiative, Kalu praised Tinubu’s bold economic, social, and political reforms, describing the president as a visionary leader intent on rewriting Nigeria’s story.
Kalu hailed Tinubu as a “good product” worthy of renewed trust, urging Ndigbo to align with their Southwest brothers to secure Tinubu’s reelection.
“President Tinubu is intentional about this country. He loves Nigeria and is making shifts we have never seen before,” Kalu declared.
The Deputy Speaker, who recounted his early support for Tinubu’s presidential bid, assured the groups of his unwavering loyalty to the president’s cause.
He emphasized the need for Southeast voters to invest their political capital where progress is visible.
“Our business is to tell the people the good works of President Tinubu. We must stand firm as Ndi Igbo on his mandate,” Kalu charged.
Kalu also expressed optimism that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would capture the Abia State governorship in 2027, applauding Club 17’s peace initiatives and voter mobilization efforts across wards.
Earlier, leaders of the visiting groups reaffirmed their commitment to President Tinubu’s reelection and pledged continuous support for Kalu’s leadership drive.
