A tragic accident on the Oyo to Ogbomoso road in Oyo State has claimed the lives of several students on their way to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
The incident, captured in a video circulating on Saturday morning, involved a commercial vehicle conveying the candidates to a JAMB centre in Ogbomoso.
Eyewitnesses said the crash occurred after the vehicle suffered a brake failure, leading to a fatal loss of control.
“Fatal accident claimed the life of the students that were going to write JAMB in Ogbomoso on Oyo road, Oyo State,” the caption accompanying the viral video read.
Authorities are yet to confirm the exact number of casualties as of the time of filing this report.
